Angel Tree Project
Many of the “working poor” live paycheck-to-paycheck and do not have the extra resources to cover unexpected expenses or holiday gifts. Each year, ADTH adopts approximately 75 impoverished families in our community through our Angel Tree Project. These working families in Wake County are referred to us by licensed social workers, schools or churches registered with ADTH. Please consider assisting in one of the following ways (all donations are tax deductible):
Adopt a Family
Individuals, families, an office, sports team or a neighborhood can adopt a family. Each child on the list should receive two gifts of basic necessities and two gifts of fun items, for a total of four wrapped items. We do not provide gifts for adults, as they will receive an Essentials Basket and Gift cards provided by ADTH. If you are able to adopt an ADTH family, you are welcome to come and share in the giving of the gifts. It is a humbling yet powerful experience.
Basic information on the adopted family information and wish lists to all donor families will be sent by Nov. 18.
Grocery Gift Cards
Each adopted family also receives gift cards to local grocery stores so that their family may share in a holiday meal. To donate grocery gift cards, please send them to A Doorway to Hope at: 500 Francisca Lane, Cary, NC 27511 by December 1st. Gift cards to Target, Walmart and Food Lion are especially useful. All denominations are welcome! If you have an office that would be willing to participate, we are happy to provide a small Christmas tree with ornaments as reminders to bring back gift cards. Any questions, please contact Kelly Williams.
If it is more convenient for you to contribute to our Angel Tree project via a monetary donation, you may use a credit card to donate below or you can send checks to A Doorway to Hope at: 500 Francisca Lane, Cary, NC 27511.
