Angel Tree Project

Angel Tree Project

Join in the spirit of Christmas Giving! ADTH adopts approximately 80 impoverished families in our community each year through our Angel Tree Project. These working families are referred to us by Wake County Public School social workers. Each adopted family receives gifts for children, a household essentials basket, and grocery gift cards so their family can have a holiday meal. You can be a part of spreading Christmas joy!

Adopt a Family

Individuals, families, teams, or groups can adopt a family. Each child on the list should receive two basic necessities and two gifts of fun items, for a total of four wrapped items. We do not provide gifts for adults, as they will receive a household essentials basket and grocery gift cards supplied by ADTH. You are welcome to come and share in the giving of the gifts. It is a humbling yet powerful experience.

Household Essentials Basket

We also provide each adopted family with an Essentials Basket full of household items. Donations can be dropped off at St. Michael’s Archangel Hall, 808 High House Road, Cary, on Friday, December 15th, from 4pm until 6pm.

Grocery Gift Cards

Each adopted family also receives gift cards to local grocery stores so their family can enjoy a holiday meal. To donate grocery gift cards, please send them to A Doorway to Hope at: P.O. Box 911, Cary, NC 27512, by December 10th. Gift cards to Target, Walmart, and Food Lion are preferred. All denominations are welcome! If you have an office or retail location willing to participate, we will provide a small Christmas tree with ornaments as reminders to bring back gift cards. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Williams.
